HOX No.03

EXTINCTION

Extinction stands for extinction or annihilation. Not only are a large number of animal and plant species already extinct, but the destruction of entire habitats and our planet is progressing at a rapid pace. Existences are threatened, while others are still not recognized (keyword: Federal Council report of 21.12.22). Fears are being conjured up, but as we all know, hope dies last. Are we already at the beginning of the end? Apocalypse now? What will tomorrow look like? Dystopia or utopia after all? Does something have to die out for something new to flourish? For example, patriarchy or capitalism? And what comes after the rebellion? Is extinction necessarily linked to death or can it also be redemption or rediscovery? Are we going round in circles, fighting endless battles against the same nemesis over and over again? And despite all this, do we still dare to dream? Of a better life together?
