HOX ventures to the edges. To the outposts, borders, thresholds and borderlands. To the beginnings of endings, where HOX has always already been. Between inside and outside, closeness and distance, safety and risk, friction arises. And that is precisely where things get interesting. At the fractures in the material, the thresholds in thinking. Edges are political frontlines as much as fragile moments of personal transformation. They mark separation – and open up connection.
The event expands the space of the magazine: bodies move along edges of light, voices meet resistance, perspectives shift. Nothing is entirely centre, nothing merely margin.
For the fifth issue we are looking for 8 contributors.
As part of a workshop on 31 May 2026 in Zurich, the selected contributors will come together, explore the space for the Showcase & Release Event on 18 October 2026, discuss their projects for the print publication, and share a meal.
You can apply with a short self-portrait and an artistic project proposal (for both the print publication and the event) via the form below by 19 April 2026. Applicants will be notified personally on 30 April.
A fee will be paid for all selected contributions. In addition, we provide a travel allowance for participation in both the workshop and the event.
